Worship in a New Key (WINK) is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville (PCOL). For the most current information about what’s going on now with WiNK, please visit our Facebook page.
WiNK grew out of the PCOL’s desire to gather and inspire disciples of Christ within our church community and beyond our old hallowed doors. We seek to welcome and affirm all with whom we worship. With the Psalmist we hope to, “taste and see that the Lord is Good” (Ps. 34:8). Indeed, at WiNK we proclaim, invite and commission using our senses – we taste the Sacrament of communion and share a meal with one another after worship, we see through artistic representations, we hear the Gospel proclaimed in speech, music and drama, we smell the fragrant aroma of prayer candles and we feel the presence of God in community with one another.
Who: You! All are invited to come and experience God in new (and traditional) ways.
What: Alternative? Relevant? Contemporary? Yes, but so much more. At WiNK we’re interested in sense-oriented experiences of the living God. We hear the Word Proclaimed, see the flames of the Spirit, touch and taste the Communion meal.
When: We worship together every week. Worship is at 5:00 in the Chapel.
Why: So that we may worship God and fellowship with God’s people. So that we may experience God’s Kingdom now. So that we may seek justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God!
