The areas around the church, including the cemetery, grounds and parking lot, make a first impression on a visitor. Parking is especially important in making our facilities inviting and accessible to everyone.
Current plans include:
- Resurfacing our parking lot and adding additional spaces to it, if possible.
- Providing a sidewalk along the golf course on Main Street, to improve safety for those who park there. This project has been completed.
- Improving the safety and attractiveness of the walkway and landscaping at our front entrance for all who enter our doors, including the rebuilding of the front steps. This project has been completed.
- Installing a new sidewalk behind the Manse to an existing parking lot at The Lawrenceville School.
- Updating our exterior signage.
- Replacing the crumbling catchment-basin in the middle graveyard, to reduce flooding in the Chapel basement where our young children sing, play, and learn.
The Trustees and the Session will oversee final planning and priority-setting among these and the many other needs being addressed by the capital campaign. If we are successful in meeting our three-year goal, these projects will “preserve the past, enrich the present and provide for the future” of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
If you have any questions about the campaign, please contact Jeanne Aicher or Jeff Vamos in the church office or one of the co-chairs for the campaign: Bill Haines or Tom Wilfrid. (Wendy Simpson is temporarily out of town.)
