The campaign addresses four Fellowship Center projects, and at least one appears in each of the campaign’s three priority levels:
- Top priority has been assigned to replacing the building’s roof and to upgrade the two bathrooms near the manse. The bathroom renovation is complete and the new roofs are under construction now.
- The installation of energy-conserving photovoltaic panels on the Fellowship Center roof’s southern exposure is listed in the campaign’s second priority tier. This is the most visibly “green” component on the capital projects list.
- Among the last projects to be addressed, if sufficient funds are raised, will be air conditioning the Fellowship Center. This would increase significantly its usefulness during the hotter parts of the year.
The Trustees and the Session will oversee final planning and priority setting among these and the many other needs being addressed by the capital campaign. If we are successful in meeting our three-year goal, these projects will “preserve the past, enrich the present and provide for the future” of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
If you have any questions about the campaign, please contact Jeanne Aicher or Jeff Vamos in the church office or one of the co-chairs for the campaign: Bill Haines or Tom Wilfrid. (Wendy Simpson is temporarily out of town.)
