WEEKLY BIBLE READINGS FOR WORSHIPRead – or hear – the weekly Bible readings for worship Most Sundays, we at PCOL read Bible passages from a list of readings called The Revised Common Lectionary. It's the set of readings that everyone throughout the world reads in worship - assuming that church follows the lectionary. Listen to these each week over 3 years - and you will have pretty much a fair sampling of the whole Bible. Click here to read each Sunday's lectionary readings on the web. You can get an email subscription for the readings. OR...click here to subscribe to a podcast - listen to them on your iPod or MP3 device. |

THEOLOGY ROUND TABLEabout God and Faith We meet once a month in the home of one of our participants to share thoughts and ideas about a particular article or chapter from a book that has been chosen by the group. We tend to read and try to understand aspects of theology and in so doing we find our thoughts about who we know God to be and our understanding of how God acts in the world and in our lives are deepened and enlarged. Participants do not need a great knowledge of the Bible or theology or church history, just a willingness to read an article and an interest in sharing thoughts. |

CONSECRATION SUNDAY UPDATEGood news! We are off to a wonderful start in pledging our financial commitments to the church in 2010. We have received 218 pledges thus far for a total of $554,036.00 (as of 12/7/2009). We are excited about the possibilities for mission and ministry in 2010. It is very important that we get as many commitments as possible to fully fund the work we have to do. If you have not already filled out a card, click here for one and send it to the office or place it in the offering plate. |

WORSHIP IN A NEW KEYNo jacket required. Our 5:00pm Worship in a New Key is a new feature of our worship life that began in the fall of 2008, and meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month October through May. The New Key service features acoustic music from a variety of styles--jazz, world, folk, acoustic rock, and even traditional hymn styles. This service attracts people of all ages who want a less formal, and more experiential worship service that is out of the box, but still conforms to the traditional order of Reformed worship. Worship and Supper, beginning at 5pm. People gather for the service at 5pm, with acoustic music and gathering songs, and ends with Eucharist (Communion). The service morphs into table fellowship: a simple meal together (usually soup and bread). The service is in our Fellowship Center, a less formal and more flexible place to worship. |

Find us on Facebook, or tune into our Blog.At Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, we use electronic media--tools like our website, our blog and our page on Facebook--to help enhance our face-to-face community experience. It is a means of continuing our conversation as a community, an extension of our teaching ministry, and a means for helping members and friends see where ideas and interests connect. We are always looking for ways to enhance this aspect of our ministry. If you have any suggestions--a topic or an entry for our blog perhaps--please email us sometime. |

MEMBERS HELPING MEMBERSEveryone is talking about tough economic times. How are we using the resources found in our congregation (skills, relationships, knowledge) to help each other? A group called "Members Helping Members" has been formed for that purpose. This is a "virtual group" that connects people looking for a job, with people willing to help, by providing technical assistance such as resume writing and interview skills, as well as networking and informational interviews. Please contact Jeff Vamos (jvamos@pclawrenceville.org) . |
