Sunday Mornings

The Meetinghouse is our sanctuary, and where we hold our Sunday morning services.

Lectio Divina, 9am in room 106 (8:30am in summer)
Lectio Divina is an ancient spiritual practice of reading the scripture meditatively. A cross between Bible study and worship, the group selects one of the scripture lessons to be proclaimed in worship that morning, which is read several times, with periods of silence and sharing to consider how the word in scripture intersects with our lives. Childcare is available for Lectio Divina.

Sunday Worship, 10am in the Meetinghouse (9:30am in summer—see Calendar for specific details)
Our service is based on the traditional Presbyterian liturgy—freedom within form, with an emphasis on proclaiming God’s word in scripture, in sermon, and through music. Child care is available.

Nursery Care
Nursery care for infants and preschoolers, with wireless pagers, is available in room 103, located off the Fellowship Center during the entirety of the worship service.

Sunday School for Children
Children are integral to our life as a community, and to our worship. They attend the worship the beginning of the worship service with their parents— and after the Children’s Message, they are dismissed to Sunday School. The exception to the rule: Communion Sundays and special worship services, such as Children’s Sabbath, Palm Sunday and Easter.

Sunday School/Adult Education – 11:30 in the Lounge
After worship, Adults are welcomed to attend an Adult Education Forum on a variety of topics.
