Our theme for Advent is Draw Near. Draw Near is an affirmation that God has drawn near to us in the person of Jesus Christ, but it is also a plea for God to draw closer to us and the spaces in the world that are broken. Draw Near is also a charge for each of us to draw near to God by leaning into wonder, justice, truth, one another, and love.
This second week of Advent, is our Blue Christmas service. We will be invited to Draw Near to Hope, during a time of the year which is difficult for many because of loss, grief, or sorrow. We welcome pastor and author Rev. Beth Scibeinski who will share her own story of loss and read from her new book, “Who is God When We Hurt?”
No matter where you are on your journey, there is a place for you here.
All are welcome to join us for Worship in a New Key, a creative and multisensory worship experience, with a variety of music – from Bluegrass to Gospel to Classic Rock to traditional hymnody. Sundays at 5pm in the Chapel. For more information, contact Kyle Anderson.
