Sunday School

Our Sunday School is held from 10–11am September through June, providing Christian education for children age 3 through 5th grade.

Preschoolers may be dropped off before worship at 9:45am. Children K-5th Grade  begin Sunday School after they are dismissed from worship following the Children’s Message. However, our schedule includes weeks when children attend the entire service with their parents, such as Communion Sundays, Children’s Sunday, Christmas and Easter.

Preschool Sunday School Program
Preschool Sunday School is located under the staff offices in the Chapel building. Feel free to ask anyone for assistance in finding it. The children enjoy music, Bible story time, playtime, arts and crafts, and a snack each week. The teachers are ready to begin the class at 9:45am weekly. For safety concerns, we ask that all preschool children be dropped off and signed in and out each week by an adult. If your child is attending for the first time or visiting for the day we ask that a parent register their child and inform the teachers of any allergies, special needs or concerns. This will help us to make sure each child has a nurturing, positive, and safe experience.

Kindergarten through 5th Grade- Sunday school is held most Sundays September through June. There are specific Sundays that the children are in worship for the entire worship service.Children are in worship each week for the beginning of the worship service. The children head off the their Sunday school classes following the Children’s Message.  Children will have the opportunity to experience the rotation model.  The PCUSA We Believe Rotation Model curriculum is used at PCOL. Our rotations include the Art, Drama, Audio/Visual, and Computer Lab. After completing a four week rotation, Children’s Chapel is held in the chapel. Children lead worship and participate in worship and fellowship together.

Sunday School children are also involved in many mission projects throughout the year.
