Join us for Worship during Holy Week and Easter Sunday
You are invited to experience the Lenten season in a new way this year. Through Good Friday, March 30, there will be new artwork added to the display in the meetinghouse (sanctuary) each week depicting Jesus’ journey to the cross. The last piece will be displayed in the Memorial Garden by the obelisk on Good Friday. Come into the meetinghouse during the day or evening to reflect on the artwork and deepen your own Lenten journey with a written meditation booklet available there.
Some of the most beautiful music ever composed was written to accompany the story of the Passion. Please join us for communion and “the service of the shadows” called Tenebrae, which ends in darkness.
How can we rejoice on Sunday if we haven’t wept on Friday? Join us for our lunch-time gospel and blues service, followed by a simple lunch (donation requested).
Childcare is available in the nursery, room 105, for infants – second grade children.
As the women went to the tomb “when it was still dark,” this service begins just before sun-up. Gather in the graveyard, and if you wish, bring a flower to place on the flowering cross.
Join us for a traditional Easter festival service, with brass. We will receive the church-wide One Great Hour of Sharing offering. Reception will follow in the Fellowship Center.
