On May 17, Rev. Jeff Vamos and Brennan Gagnon lead us through the “big picture” – a general consideration of what our faith leads us to believe about God, humanity, justice and the church’s public witness. This was in response to the Session’s affirmation of two statements of faith from The First Presbyterian Church of Durham, NC and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, MN.
On May 31, Dr. Brandt McCabe will moderate a follow-up to our discussion, seeking to identify whether––and to what extent––there is a PCOL consensus on how our shared faith informs our perspectives on particular issues or concerns raised during our previous conversation. Special attention will be given to themes identified in the two statements, the relationship of our faith to power, and Christian nationalism.
All are welcome to join us in the Atrium after worship on May 31.
