Exploring Membership Class 2

Greetings!

This goes out to all in our Welcome Circle – and to all those now participating in our current Exploring Membership cycle. For those of you who weren’t able to make class #1, it’s not too late to jump on board! I’ve included the links for last week’s homework at the end of this email if you want to catch up. 

For this Sunday’s class, please do meet us in Room 106 at about 11:30 – or around 20 minutes after the end of worship. As preparation for class this week, please watch the following two videos, and consider the question for reflection below.

Question for reflection: Brian McClaren speaks of The Kingdom of God as at the center of the core message of Jesus – but it’s an ambiguous message. Jesus never clearly defines it directly, but speaks of it only in metaphor and simile. How would you describe the Kingdom of God? What would you imagine it might look like today?
