Sherri Heffern created a beautiful quilt square featured as part of the Great American Quilt, a nationwide art project on display in Williamsburg. She says she decided to create PCOL for this special quilt “to celebrate our wonderful community and deep roots. This historic church truly symbolizes Lawrenceville and the spirit of its people. This was part of a DAR project and can be seen now at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center lobby.”

The completed quilt was unveiled on April 11, 2026 and will be displayed at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center, The Muscarelle Museum of Art, and The Greater Williamsburg Sports & Events Center throughout 2026. Measuring 500 feet long and 5 feet wide, the quilt will be exhibited in rotating sections.
