Blessed to be a Blessing
Looking at the Whole Bible Through a Pinhole

Summer Sermon Series
July 19 – August 30
The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville
Sometimes the smallest opening reveals the largest reality. A pinhole in a wall, a crack in a door, the tiny aperture of a telescope—through it you can suddenly glimpse an immense landscape.
Genesis 12:1–3 is like that in the Bible. Just three verses. Yet through this small opening we glimpse the whole story of Scripture: God calling a people, blessing them, and sending them so that all the families of the earth might be blessed.
Over the course of this seven-week sermon series, we will return again and again to this same text. Each week it will be paired with another passage from elsewhere in Scripture, helping us see more of the vast landscape of God’s story through this single opening. Along the way you will hear from a variety of voices—many of the preachers connected with PCOL—each exploring a different facet of this remarkable promise and helping us see its meaning for our lives today.
