Youth and Young Adult Ministries
We have had a longstanding commitment to ministry to and with our youth, and in nurturing young adults in faith. Youth are not the future of the church; they are the present.
About PCOL Youth Ministry
At the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, we strongly believe that everybody is somebody because of the love of God in Christ. We strive to bear witness to this in all that we do, especially when it comes to our students. We strive to offer a sense of community so that together (students and adults) we might grow closer to one another, to our better selves, and to God. Above all, PCOL youth ministry is a place where all are welcome. We hope you will drop by!
Youth Group
Our youth group meets on Sunday nights from 6–8 pm in the youth room at the church. Youth group is for both our Jr and Sr High students. You can expect games and activities, worship, Bible study, conversation, and lots of fun.
We also have various events throughout the year for our students including retreats, a lock-in, service opportunities, mission trips and more. Make sure to check out the church calendar for more information. For more information about our youth group or any of our events please contact Alicia Morrison.
Confirmation
Our Confirmation program is for our high school students. The program is centered around a covenant relationship between those participating in Confirmation and their mentors. Confirmation meets monthly, September through May, and includes a service project and a visit to a different faith tradition’s worship service. For more information about Confirmation please contact Kyle Anderson.
Young Adult Fellowship
The church is and should be a place for those who are now “launched” in life, but who are still exploring the meaning of it all—a place to gather, loosen up, and talk about what faith means in a rapidly changing culture and world. Young Adults gather to share beer and pizza, a hike in the woods, an occasional retreat, and most often to get together for meaningful conversation and fellowship.
