Part-time position: 15 hours per week Sept. – June (43 weeks);
8 Hours per week July – August (9 weeks)

Skills required: Graphic design for both print and electronic media; website management technical expertise and electronic communications; some creative writing; social media skills; ability to multi-task, careful attention to detail; able to professionally represent the church; able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strive for consistent high-quality appearance and effectiveness for all church communications, publications and media, including attention to “branding”
  • Create publicity materials, for print and electronic media, for church events and programs including:
  1.  website content and graphics
  2. a weekly e-news e-mail blast
  3. selected individual e-mail blasts
  4. Design new format for paper monthly newsletter, to coordinate with new church website and logo, and create each month. Organize production and deliver to Post Office
  5. Generate e-mailing of monthly newsletter
  6. Posters, flyers and brochures for church events and programs
  7. Generate publicity to local media: press releases and advertising for church events and programs
  • Provide routine office assistance to other staff as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and other staff development functions

Vacation: 4 weeks per year (3 weeks must be during July /August)

Reports to Office Manager, and works closely with Head of Staff.
