Our Annual Levi Sunday Worship: Serving God through Our Service
Sunday, February 2, 2013
Come in your jeans and ready to serve. In the Hebrew scriptures, the Levites, or children of Levi, were the tribe set aside for serving God in the temple. Central to our identity as a congregation is the value of serving those outside our walls.
This year our service projects will benefit three local agencies – Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Rescue Mission, and Crisis Ministry. Items needed for T.A.S.K. and Rescue Mission are juice boxes, snack size fruit cups, and large bags of cookies (e.g. Oreos). Items needed for Crisis Ministry hygiene kits are toothbrushes and travel toiletries: toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and deodorant. No time to shop? Please consider a monetary contribution to help defray the cost of supplies. Just look for the large plastic jar in the contribution box.
Please bring your contributions to the church any time between now and Friday, January 31st. Just look for the collection box in the Fellowship Center.
