The Lawrenceville Community Chorus will begin rehearsals for the Spring on Thursday February 2, 2023 at 7:45 pm on the PCoL Chapel. The choir rehearses each Thursday evening from 745-845 pm. For this spring the chorus will be preparing the “Chichester Psalms” by American composer Leonard Bernstein. This work, sung in Hebrew, is one of Bernstein’s masterpieces. The chorus will also be preparing a selection of anthems by composer Randall Thompson, who was a graduate of Lawrenceville Prep School and lived in Lawrenceville with his parents in the early 1900’s. The chorus will perform these works at PCoL on Sunday May 14th during the 10:00 am worship service in celebration of “Music Sunday”.
The Lawrenceville Community Chorus is open to anyone who enjoys singing choral music with a great group of people. There is no audition. Please contact the director, Mr. James Moyer, for more information.
