Writing-as-Spiritual-shorteThis four-week course is an exploration of writing as spiritual practice – a practice through which we will understand our own creativity as a means of connecting with God. This is for writers of all levels – and non-writers! Many of the challenges and promises the writer encounters in the creative process – feeling dry or blocked, judging one’s work as not good enough, and on the other hand experiencing a wellspring that seems not to come from us – mirror larger aspects of the spiritual life. In this class, creative writing (fiction and non-fiction) will be the experiential grist for our spiritual mill in these four weeks.

Materials and Course Overview. Before registering, please download and read the course overview document by clicking here. Note that we ask each participant to order one course book – Natalie Goldberg’s Writing Down the Bones, which is readily available on Amazon.com.
