This page includes some ideas about how to make spiritual and devotional time part of your Advent spiritual discipline. We would also love to hear from you about your ideas for spiritual disciplines during Advent, or how you are using these resources – please use the response form below.

And – you can start off with a delicious Advent Potluck meal on the evening of December 2, where we will come together and receive some great materials for developing our Advent spiritual discipline.
We also hope that you will take advantage of the three Adult Education sessions designed to enhance our spiritual preparation for Advent. Join us as our community prepares to celebrate Jesus’ birth and explore what it means to be called, fed, and sent (the three key words in our church’s mission statement) during this Advent season. PCOL Advent Daily Devotional: Daily email, hard copy, or online
Advent is a time of waiting and preparing for God’s gift of his only son. Establishing a private spiritual practice is a perfect way to prepare our hearts and minds to understand the miracle of Jesus’ birth. Why not start this Christmas season by contemplating the mystery of Christ’s birth through a daily devotion? We have two devotion booklets prepared by our seminary intern for Adult Education, Chad Ensz. PCOL members and staff provided short commentaries for these booklets. You can pick up hard copies of these booklets in the Fellowship Center, or access them online here. If you would like to receive daily Advent devotionals by email, please contact Aaron Sizer, or follow these instructions:
